James Sack
Partner & Creative Director
James is founding partner and creative director for carbonhouse. It is his vision that serves as the foundation and spring board for carbonhouse creative initiatives. James leads the carbonhouse team in setting its online goals based on his 20 years of entrepreneurial, new media and marketing experience. As creative director, James’ goal for each carbonhouse client is to produce the best solution in strategic marketing that will drive impressions and profits.
Throughout his design career James has won dozens of design and technology awards. He is an industry leader and spearheads discussions related to interactive marketing and business start-ups for the Event and Arena Marketing industry and AIGA. A few of his more prestigious awards include W3 Best in Show, gold Davies, Addys and Print magazines Interactive Annual.
Additionally, James is an active member, and leader, of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA). His photography has been published in magazines and used within advertisements. His woodblock prints have been shown in a number of galleries in Charlotte. He also enjoys rolling up his sleeves to help community agencies like the Johnston YMCA, Warehouse 242 and the curriculum advisory board at the Art Institute of Charlotte.
Brandon Lucas
Partner & Business Director
A business leader with two decades of experience in the live-event industry, Brandon Lucas climbed the ranks of some of the country's biggest entertainment companies, ultimately becoming Senior Vice President of Marketing for Clear Channel Entertainment—Music Group(now Live Nation). There he was instrumental in the smooth operation of more than 1,500 annual events in 12 regions in North America. Brandon has opened a number of facilities, including the Charlotte Bobcats Arena where he was responsible for an arena that was not only one of highest grossing arenas in the country, but was also nominated for POLLSTAR Arena of the Year and Best New Major Concert Venue.
Brandon has lent his expertise across the country by participating in industry discussions regarding such topics as coordination of outdoor events, development of business with industry trade groups, and facility website development. Most recently, he spoke about arena openings, name changes, and anniversaries at the 2008 Event and Arena Marketing Conference.
