Opened in May 2008, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park is a 12,000-seat, state-of-the-art venue located in the northern suburbs of Atlanta.  The amphitheatre is expected to hold diverse events during its inaugural year, including concerts, community events, and movie nights. Venue highlights include a $1 million landscaping project, featuring 1,200 trees throughout the venue and mature hardwood trees on the lawn, to maintain a park-like atmosphere; approximately 40 flat-screen televisions in the plazas; an exclusive VIP area; two story bathrooms; and upscale concessions.
